Classification of subjects
Strengthening of interdisciplinary lectures and the flexibility of the curriculum
The course's subjects consist of ones (Professional major lectures) selected in interdisciplinary lectures and major lectures of related departments.
Interdisciplinary lectures: Lectures related to themes of 2 to 3 majors
Opening regular academic lectures of long-term research projects (taking courses of conferences regularly).
Original language lectures (Lectures related to Koreanology of English, Chinese, and Japanese that are not open in the general graduate school) : Attracting foreign students, to foster professional manpower to introduce Koreanology to other countries.
Forms of lectures
Vitalization of teaching methods of joint seminars or debate forums including Independent Studies (Instructional form including carrying out joint research projects, seminars, debate forums, field studies), Team Teaching(2 to 3 professors simultaneously or sequentially arrange classes), and Intensive lectures (Completion of subjects opened in a short time during vacation)
Operation of various school systems
Opening lectures of chair-professors and research professors and intensive lectures of foreign guest professors during many semesters.
Exchanging with other universities in Korea and other countries and promoting mutual credit recognition systems.
Encourage candidates for doctoral degrees to study in fields of the applicable research areas for a year and making their reports recieve credit.
Introducing a new curriculum operation method to grant the right to select lectures to students.

- Professors designate specific subjects as subjects of completion in interdisciplinary major courses in demand.

- Professors present subjects of completion in specific interdisciplinary major courses in order.

Self-Design Major
- Students achieve recognition of specific majors by completing them with advisors' approval.

One application unit : Application by single unit (there is no the separately fixed number of students by detailed study field)

- Applicants mark fields that they want, select their test methods (subjects), and freely select majors in the future.
- Screening method : Introducing languages (2 languages) and various screening methods (Ex; documents, interviews).
- Selection of majors : There is no separate procedure to select majors and students select them under the guidance of advisors
- Judge of the doctoral courses : Qualified theses (Translation, arrangement, and classification of materials) or qualifying examinations

Judge when the master's course ends: Submission of master's thesis
Integrated master's and doctoral course 57 credits (24 for master's degree, 36 for doctoral degree)
