Dr. Eric Shih is the Dean and Professor of Marketing at SKK Graduate School of Business (SKK GSB). Previously, he served as the Vice Dean for Faculty & Executive MBA Program for the school, and the Academic Program Director of Sungkyun Management Institute where he oversaw the development of online and offline training programs for Samsung Electronics’ marketing professionals worldwide. Before joining SKK GSB in 2007, he was a faculty member at Wake Forest University Babcock Graduate School of Management in the US and Brock University Goodman School of Business in Canada. He was also a visiting scholar at Rice University Jones Graduate School of Business and MIT Sloan School of Management, and Faculty Associate at Center for Research on Information Technology and Organizations (CRITO) at UC Irvine.
Dr. Shih received his BA in Economics from UC Berkeley, an MBA from UC Riverside, and Ph.D. in Marketing from UC Irvine. His research interest is on the intersection of information technology and marketing and includes topics such as the diffusion of technological innovation and the economic impact of IT adoption. His research has appeared in leading journals such as Journal of Marketing, Management Science, Strategic Management Journal, and Journal of Management Information System. Besides research, Dr. Shih is also an enthusiastic teacher and have won numerous teaching and research awards throughout his career.
