Dr. Pungaliya’s research interests lie predominantly in the area of corporate finance, and include topics such as credit markets, capital structure, accounting fraud, and tests of earnings management. He has taught Financial Management and Investments at the University of Iowa, and has received several teaching awards. He teaches international Financial Decision Making, Advanced Financial Management, and Bond Markets and Strategies at SKK GSB.

During the course of his career, Dr. Pungaliya has analyzed equity investments at Wachovia Securities and evaluated computational risk management techniques at Financial Engineering Solutions Ltd. (A division of JM-Morgan Stanley).
