Studies of Art (Interdisciplinary)

This course is an interdisciplinary program combining more than 15 divisions in the Department of Confucian Studies and Eastern Philosophy, College of Liberal Arts and College of Social Science, as well as majors related to Arts, with a vision of cultivating professional artists based on in-depth knowledge and theory of the arts as a whole.

We aim to :

  • train interdisciplinary and creative people who are competitive in both academic and practical ways in the field of art
  • to contribute to the advancement of arts and culture by interdisciplinary research and to formulate a theory of the field of arts
  • build a diversified form of artistic expression based on interdisciplinary experimentalism
  • to cultivate practical competitiveness by academic study and by finding a new methodology for the actual creation of artistic expression.

Graduates are working as managers in institutions related to arts such as; theatres, galleries, museums, exports, arts organizations, cultural arts festivals and also creative artists, arts researchers, arts industry professionals, and critics across the whole arts spectrum.
