The first semester of 2024 <JOB Academic Dasik (Career Concert)> was held for two days from May 1 (Wednesday) to May 2 (Thursday) at the small theater on the 3rd basement floor of the business hall. <JOB Academic Dasik (Career Concert)> is an event to strengthen networking and explore career directions between undergraduate and graduate of business school. About 90 students participated in the event, which was organized by the 24th Business School Student Council BE:ONE, and this year, not only graduates but also professors were invited to give a talk show-style lecture.
On Wednesday, May 1, a total of five graduating seniors participated in the first day of the event, which was held as mentors: Kim Choong-han (Management 11, Gwon Tech), Um Seung-hyun (Management 14, Mercer), Park Do-hyun (Management 17, Dong-A Ilbo), Lee Sang-eun (Management 09, Samjeong KPMG), and Choi Ji-oh (Management 19, Hyundai Capital). Professor Lee Seok-kyu (Marketing), Professor Shin Ji-sun (Management), Professor Lee Jong-eun (Accounting), Professor Yoo Sang-seok (Management Information), and Professor Kim Dae-jin (Financial) as speakers.
Kim Young-min (management 22), who attended as a mentor, said, "I attended a career concert because I wanted to hear lectures from seniors who got a job while attending school without setting a direction for my career. Listening to the experiences of different seniors, I thought I should find out what kind of job is suitable for me."
In addition, Park Hye-won (Management 23) said, "On the first day, I had time to prepare for the future by listening to the employment process and work experience of the seniors working in the field, and to think about what kind of qualities I needed for the job I wanted. On the second day, I was able to narrow the distance with the professors by talking with them, who felt only scary. In particular, I liked the fact that I could communicate directly with the professors through ice-breaking and Q&A format, not a general lecture format."
<JOB Hakdasik (Career Concert)> is held every semester to expand the network of seniors and juniors to the suburbs to strengthen the 'Sungkyunkwan University Business Administration Brand', to increase department royalties, and to expand mentoring human network pools in the future.
