We will inform you of the application for the thesis advisor for graduate students in 2025 Spring(2025-1) semester as follows.

1. To whom

A. Students who have never applied for Thesis Advisor through GLS (including Freshman) or

B. Students who participating in the BK21FOUR project for 2025 Spring(2025-1) semester or

C. Students who have changed their advisory professor or added a co-advisor or

D. Students who plan to apply for pre-defense for the 2025 Spring(2025-1) semester

※ Students who have not applied for thesis advisor through GLS must apply.

※ However, if you have applied for a pre-defense by the last semester, you do not need to apply. But students who have changed their advisory professor or added a co-advisor must also reapply.

2. Application Period : ~ April 28 (Mon), 2025

※ Students participating in the BK21FOUR project must apply by March 31(Mon)

※ Only students who plan to apply for pre-defense can apply by April 28(Mon), 2025

3. Required Document :

1) (Required) Plan of the Thesis

2) (Required) Application for the Major Advisor Prior Assignment

3) Application for Major Advisor Replacement (Only if you change of your advisor)

4) External Committee Member Personal Information (Only if you have external member)

※ Attached Document: “Certificate of employment” or “Screenshot of Institution homepage” or “Evidence of research performance”

4. How to Apply

1) Download the application form

2) Fill the form and obtain the signature of advisor professor

3) “Apply for Thesis Advisor” through GLS System

① Go to “GLS-신청/자격관리-지도교수신청-지도교수신청/배정결과조회” menu

② Scan and Upload the completed form as a PDF file. (File Name: Student ID_Name_Title)

※ “Plan of the Thesis” and “Application for the Major Advisor Prior Assignment“

※ If the advisor is changed or added, Please scan and upload “Thesis Advisor Prior Assignment“ and “Thesis Advisor Replacement” form as 1 PDF file

③ Insert the advisor

※ If you have a co-advisor, please insert both advisors in the GLS system.

④ Click to “신청”

⑤ Graduate Office confirmation and approval
