Thesis/Dissertation Printed Copy Writing and Submission Guidance
1. Writing the Printed Copy
· Reference : Refer to the attached file.
· Co-Advisors : If a co-advisor exists, list the names of both advisors in all fields requiring advisor information on the forms.
[Notes on Thesis/Dissertation Writing]
1. Date Indication :
· Request for Examination : October 2025.
· Approval Sheet : December 2025.
· Day : Do not indicate the specific day.
2. Year Indication : The year on the cover and spine must be indicated as "2026".
3. Department Name Indication : Write according to the departmental notation guide in the Master's and Doctoral Thesis/Dissertation Writing Method.
· Korean : Master's: Department only; Doctoral: Department and detailed major.
· English : Master's/Doctoral: Department only. Examiners' names must also be listed in English.
4. Fonts : ShinMyeongjo and HumanMyeongjo are permissible. Word users must check for PC compatibility.

5. English Thesis Times New Roman: If using Times New Roman, increase the font size by 2 points.
6. Acknowledgments : Do not include.
7. Abstract Writing : Write on the last page.
· Korean Thesis : Abstract in a foreign language (select one: English, French, German, or Chinese).
· English Thesis : Abstract in Korean.
· Foreign Student Exception : Exceptionally allowed not to write the Korean abstract with advisor approval if impossible.
8. Failure to Submit : Degree conferral postponed if submission of the electronic file and printed copies is not completed by the deadline.
2. Electronic File (Online) Submission
A. Submission Deadline : December 8 (Mon), 2025 ~ January 5 (Mon), 2026, 17:00.
B. Submission Method:
1. Log in to SKKU dCollection (http://dCollection.skku.edu) (Use Kingo Portal ID/PW).
2. Click ‘Thesis/Dissertation Submission’ → Click 'Submit Material' → Proceed to the submitter information and follow the process.
3. Prepare the file referring to the "Master's/Doctoral Thesis/Dissertation Format and Writing Method."
4. Submit the electronic file without the examiners' names and signatures on the Thesis/Dissertation Approval Sheet.
5. You must check the dCollection site to confirm the submission status is 'Processing Complete' after submission.
· Submission Received : Before thesis/dissertation format check.
· Processing Complete : Online submission complete after format check.
· Returned : Requires format revision.

3. Printed Copy (Offline) Submission
Note: You may be asked to reprint if there are errors in key format items.
A. Submission Deadline : After electronic file approval ~ January 12 (Mon), 2026, 17:00.
B. Submission Method : Confirm electronic file approval ('Processing Complete') → Bind the approved file and submit the printed copies and required documents.
C. Cover Type : Both hardcover and softcover are acceptable. Hardcover must not be black, only dark navy is allowed.
D. Number of Copies:3 copies.
· 1 copy : With examiners' names/signatures (seals) (Original) - Submit.
· 2 copies : Without examiners' names/signatures (seals) - Submit.
· If submitting a photocopy of the Approval Sheet : The original must be presented for verification upon printed submission.
E. Required Attached Documents:
1. (All/Mandatory) 1 copy of the Thesis/Dissertation Content Consistency Confirmation Form.
2. (All/Mandatory) 1 copy of the Thesis/Dissertation Electronic File Submission Confirmation Form (Printable from dCollection after approval).
3. (All/Mandatory) 1 copy of the Online Use Permission Agreement for Copyrighted Works (Printable from dCollection My Page).
4. (If applicable) 1 copy of the Thesis/Dissertation Public Disclosure Postponement Application Form.
5. (Doctoral Students Only)Survey for New Doctoral Degree Recipients or online "Survey Completion Certificate.“

F. Submission Location: Department Office (Room 85624) / (Convergence Security Track : Room 21527).
4. Thesis/Dissertation Public Disclosure Postponement Application (If Applicable)
A. Principle : Public disclosure of the thesis/dissertation is the general rule.
B. Application Deadline : ~ January 12 (Mon), 2026, until the printed copy submission deadline.
C. Applicable Reasons : Protection of intellectual property rights, publishing, journal submission, agreements with funding agencies, etc.
D. Application Procedure : GLS Application.
1. GLS → Application/Qualification Management → Thesis/Dissertation Public Disclosure Postponement Application → Thesis/Dissertation Non-Disclosure (Postponement) Application menu.
2. Click "Print Application Form."
3. Get advisor's confirmation (signature/seal) → Scan → Upload.
4. Upload supporting documents in the "Proof Document Upload" field.
5. Submit the original application form with the printed thesis/dissertation copies.
· Start Date for Postponement: Write as the degree conferral date (February 25 (Wed), 2026).

5. Survey for Prospective Doctoral Degree Recipients
A. Target : Prospective Doctoral Degree Recipients in February 2026.
B. Submission Deadline : ~ January 12 (Mon), 2026, 17:00.
C. Survey Participation and Submission : Access website (http://www.narastat.kr/emdh)→ Respond → Print "Survey Completion Certificate" → Submit with printed copies.
