On June 16, 2023 (Friday), the School of Business, Department of Global Business Administration hosted the 2023 SKKU-HKUST exchange event, attended by 18 students and 1 faculty member from Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST), along with 20 students and 4 faculty members from the Department of Global Business Administration at the Humanities and Social Sciences Campus.

Starting off the event, both universities introduced their histories and specialized programs, confirming a sense of commonality among the global business administration students from both institutions.

Following this, students from both schools attended lectures together: Professor Joseph Kim's lecture on 'Business Communication Skills' and Professor Kim Yongsuk's lecture on 'The Dominance of Web2 Platforms and the Rise of Web3'. These sessions provided an opportunity to discuss current trends and the attitudes and knowledge business students need to develop.

The exchange continued into the evening with a dinner and recreational activities, during which participants had a chance to learn about each other in various ways by discussing the symbols/logos of each university and the history and geography of each country.

Following this event, the Department of Global Business Administration at Sungkyunkwan University plans to visit HKUST during the Global Camp, scheduled for late January to early February 2024, to further strengthen the partnership
