On Wednesday, May 22, 2024, the Department of Global Business at the Business School hosted the 2024 SKKU-CityU Exchange Event at the Humanities and Social Sciences Campus. The event included 20 students and 3 faculty members from City University of Hong Kong (CityU), along with 5 students and 2 faculty members from the Department of Global Business.

The event began with a campus tour led by Global Business ambassadors. The tour provided an opportunity for CityU students to learn about the history and current status of Sungkyunkwan University (SKKU). Wearing traditional Confucian scholar attire, participants visited historical sites on campus, helping CityU students to understand the educational ideology and philosopy of SKKU.

Following the tour, Seol Ji-yoon, class of 2018, gave an introduction to the university and the department. She highlighted the diversity and uniqueness of the academic and extracurricular programs offered by the Department of Global Business. Additionally, she informed CityU students about various programs available at SKKU, such as exchange programs and the International Summer School/Winter School (ISS/WISE), expressing hope for future meetings at SKKU.

The event concluded with a special lecture by Professor Kim Young-han on "The Face and Voice of Risk: Behavioral Finance Application of AI." This session provided an engaging opportunity to learn about interesting approaches to utilizing AI in the field of finance.

Both schools agreed to discuss further ways for deeper academic and cultural collaboration in the future.
