Graduate School of Future Policy Studies (GRAFPS) is designed to be an innovative education platform in social science.

Students are the heart of the GRAFPS, bringing their diverse experiences and perspectives, unique passions, talents, aspirations to our society and to their studies. We will be the partner in opening up your future through outstanding faculty, well-organized curriculum, and full academic support system. Lectures by young professors who are passionate about the latest research and education, omnibus lectures by renowned Korean and foreign scholars, and pragmatic lectures by experts in the field are the core of our education system. The matrix approach will allow students to deepen their own research topic through convergence with related fields. This pedagogical method that captures the intersection of wefts and warps will allow you to take a multidisciplinary approach to complex social issues. Studying abroad at prestigious international institutions will give you a global perspective. Participation in the forums of our twin organization, the Institute for Future Policy Studies (IFPS), will help you gain insights from the best minds in academia. The Lee Kyu-yong Fund provides scholarships to everyone so they can focus on their research without any burden.

It is the nature of the social sciences to understand the logic of the world through contemplation. 

A sustainable future can only be achieved through policies that enable science and technology to be effectively realized. While invention and entrepreneurship should be highly valued, the social sciences are arguably the gateway to ensuring that their achievements benefit the community as a whole. The GRAFPS aims to provide technology-friendly, practical education that will lead the future society.

As the inaugural director of the GRAFPS, it is a privilege and a great responsibility of mine to bring together talented people and lead them into the future.

The GRAFPS will generously support everyone who joins us for the real work that the social sciences can and shall carry out. We will become a blue-brick university that contributes to the co-evolution of the community by producing talented individuals in the political, economic, and other social fields in the spirit of the 600-year-old heritage of Sungkyunkwan.
