Our University(SKKU) will operate classes divided into three types in Fall Semester
- Online : more than 40 students in theoretical lecture
- Hybrid of Online-Offline: less than 40 students in theoretical lecture
- Offline: experiment classes, practical training classes, small size liberal arts lectures for freshman, graduate school lectures
Our university (SKKU) announced on July 24 (Fri) that the second semester classes will be divided into three types: ▲Online, ▲Hybrid of Online-Offline, and ▲Offline classes, in consideration of the safety of teachers and students and class choices due to prolonged COVID-19.
Among theoretical lectures, if there are more than 40 students in class, it will be operated online(non face-to-face). There are two methods for operating online lecture: uploading pre-filmed lecture video or real-time streaming.
Among theoretical lectures, if there are less than 40 students in class, it will be operated as hybrid of online-offline. Professors conduct offline classes in the classroom and students can choose whether to take classes in the classroom or online. There are two methods for operating online lecture: real-time streaming or uploading recorded lecture video. Thus, students should check the method before registration.
Experiment classes, practical training classes, small size liberal arts lectures for freshman, graduate school lectures will be operated offline(face-to-face).
SKKU plans to announce how each class will be operated in advance so that students can check the method and register. SKKU decided on a policy to upload the lecture of the first week before registration so that students can check the contents of the class in advance. Registration period of 2020 fall semester is from August 13 (Thu) to 21 (Fri).
In addition, SKKU plans to conduct fall semester test offline. If student cannot attend the offline test due to COVID-19, it can be replaced with an assignment.
Lastly, our university is making various efforts to ensure that lectures go smoothly in fall semester, such as distributing guidelines on how to operate lectures, improving infrastructure related to online lecture, and sharing cases of excellent lectures in spring semester.
