This course is to write a thesis in humanities and social science field using Python. This course is for writing thesis using big data for research in the humanities and social sciences. Basically, students will learn how to write a thesis, and implement a program in Python as a research methodology for thesis. Students will learn how to write thesis using Python, which is the most suitable for processing humanities and social science related materials among programming languages ​​and has excellent data visualization. Basic research methodology for thesis writing will be covered first as theoretical lectures. Methodology for selection of topics will be discussed also. Once a topic is selected, a lecture on how to organize related research will be conducted. In the next step, students learn how to write necessary content according to the research methodology. Then how to suggest further discussion along with how to organize bibliography to complete a theoretical approach. The basic Python grammar is covered for data analysis using Python, and the process for input data processing is conducted. After learning how to install and use the required Python package in each research field, the actual data processing will be practiced. To prepare for the joint research, learn how to use the jupyter notebook as the basic environment. Learn how to use matplolib for data visualization and how to use pandas for big data processing.

This course aims to deepen understanding of the purpose, method, and significance of semantics by exploring how to discover and analyze semantic phenomena in Korean. Semantics is the study of word meaning and sentence meaning, as well as the interpretation of utterances by context. Through this course, students will learn the semantic structure and characteristics of Korean language, focusing on lexical semantics, sentence semantics, and discourse theory, by distinguishing the layers of language that participate in meaning interpretation as words, sentences, and utterances.

This course aims to acquire relevant theories and knowledge of Korean semantics and explore meaning phenomena in life. First, we will develop the ability to understand and apply culture, thought, and history contained in meaning phenomena. The purpose of this study is to understand the characteristics and vernacular changes of Korean vocabulary, idiomatic expressions, meaning and function of proverbs.
KLE5005 Comparative Study of Language 3 6 Major Master/Doctor Korean Yes
This course aims to acquire knowledge of basic principles, concepts, and methodologies of contrast linguistics and to develop practical application skills. First of all, we will develop the ability to utilize Korean language education by identifying characteristics of main language and contrast with Korean, and comparing common points and differences. Then, we compare the main contents of Korean and Chinese such as Chinese and English, and select contents that can be used in the Korean language education field and look for education plan.

This course aims to understand the principles, goals, directions and concepts of Korean language education. First, students will acquire knowledge and principles of speaking, listening, reading, writing, and grammar necessary for Korean language education and apply them to Korean language education. Based on this, we will understand the educational principles and educational theory of Korean language education and apply them to practical teaching.

This course aims to understand the concept, structure and principles of Korean textbooks. First, we will compare and analyze various existing Korean textbooks and expand knowledge and skills related to textbooks. This course aims to understand and acquire knowledge and principles of Korean grammar. First, I will search for the ability and methods to apply knowledge, structure and system of Korean grammar to Korean language education. Based on this analysis, we will analyze grammatical errors and corpus of Korean grammar and draw out appropriate grammatical models and teaching methods for learners.
