Safety Training: Must be completed every semester.

Minimum GPA for Graduation: 3.0 or higher.

Eligibility to Submit a Thesis/Dissertation

 

1) As first author

Master’s: Mandatory submission to an SCI/SCIE-indexed international journal or submission to an NRF-registered (or candidate) domestic journal or presentation at a domestic academic conference (oral or poster). Presentation at an international conference is encouraged. Ph.D.: Mandatory acceptance of at least two papers in SCI/SCIE journals (requirement may be reduced to one if one paper is in the top 10% by JCR). Proof of acceptance for at least two papers must be submitted. Presentation at an international academic conference (oral or poster) is required. Notes Only papers listing the School of Mechanical Engineering affiliation will count toward these requirements. Final Examination: For the Master’s degree, if a first-author SCI/SCIE paper has been accepted, the degree examination may be conducted by document (written) review.
