Dual Degree (Two Degree) Graduate Program
University of Kentucky
1. Academic Conditions
Students who have been admitted to the Master of Science in Pharmacy degree program at SKKU will be eligible for admission to the Doctor of Philosophy in Pharmacy degree program at the University of Kentucky.
2. Selection Process
- Candidates must meet the University of Kentucky's regular admission requirments. Applications for admission to the University of Kentucky must be submitted through the online application process of the Graduate School. Acceptance to the program is not guaranteed.
- Candidates must have earned a minimum GPA of 3.2 (on a 4.0 scale) in their SKKU coursework, at the time of application.
- Candidates must have earned a minimum GRE score of 1100 (old version; combined Verbal and Math sections) or 300 (new version; combined Verbal and Math sections), at the time of application
- At the University of Kentucky, the English language proficiency for admission to this program should be equivalent to the standards for all international admissions as of the date of signing this agreement, the required proficiency is TOEFL 80 (Internet-based) or IELTS 6.6. If candidates are eligible for admission in all respects except English language proficiency, they will be offered conditional admission, and allowed to enroll in the University's Center for English as a Second Language, on a non credit basis and according to the published CESL fee structure. Enfrollment in CESL should normally not exceed one year.
- All documents required for admission by the University of Kentucky must be official and notarized.
Okayama University
1. Academic Qualifications
Students with a master’s degree or deemed to have academic ability equivalent to or higher than a master’s holder.
2. Personal Qualifications
- Students who receive recommendations from SKKU as expected students who can advance academic thesis research by additional research supervision from OU.
- Students who received agreements of acceptance from a prospective supervisor.

Students who agree to cooperative supervision from supervisors of both institutions.
Up to 2 students can receive recommendation each year.
3. Linguistic Qualifications
Students who have sufficient English ability to take courses and receive registration advice or academic supervision from one's supervisor in English. Students who are intersted in Japanese would be preferable.
