Lim Gwan-heon Scholarship Ceremony and the first presentation of the Lim Gwan-heon Post-Doctoral Research Institute

On September 11, 2023, at Toegye Humanities Hall, the College of Confucian Studies (Dean professor Kim Dong-min) hosted the 2023 Lim Gwan-heon Scholarship Award Ceremony and the 1st Lim Gwan-heon Post-Doctoral Research Institute Academic Presentation with Chairman Lim Gwan-heon, who briefly returned from Chicago.
The event was attended by professors from the College of Confucian Studies, including Kim Dong-min, president of the College of Confucian Studies, and the first and second term researchers from the Lim Gwan-heon Post-Doctoral Institute, and alumni Lim Gwan-heon delivered a scholarship certificate and Lim Gwan-heon’s book, "自由”, to Yoon Hee-seo (the College of Confucian Studies 21) and Park Seo-jin (the College of Confucian Studies 22).
After the scholarship was awarded, two scholarship students read a handwritten letter to Chairman Lim Kwan-heon and delivered it directly, and expressed their feelings that they would work hard on their studies, including studying their majors, based on the scholarships they received.
Following the scholarship ceremony, the first academic presentation of the Lim Gwan-heon Post-Doctoral Research Institute was held. This is the first event planned this year, and it is an event in which researchers who completed the first term of Lim Gwan-heon post-doctoral training present their papers based on the research results in front of Alumni Lim Gwan-heon, professors of the College of Confucian Studies, and first and second term researchers. After the presentation, comments from the supervisors were conducted.
Kim Dong-min, dean of the College of Confucian Studies, expressed his gratitude by presenting alumni Lim Gwan-heon with <Sunghaksipdo> and various academic books produced by the College of Confucian Studies. Postdoctoral researchers from the Lim Gwan-heon Academic Research Fund also expressed their feelings that the Lim Gwan-heon Academic Research Fund helped them focus on research.
Lim Gwan-heon's postdoctoral research institute academic presentation will be held once a year for researchers who have completed postdoctoral research training. postdoctoral researchers are selected about five to six people per base to maintain the continuity of academic research activities of up-and-coming researchers, and provides 3 million won from the academic fund donated by Lim Gwan-heon alumni to selected researchers.
