Welcome to Sungkyunkwan University's (SKKU) Law School

Sungkyunkwan University Law School has inherited the honor and tradition of Sungkyunkwan University College of Law, which opened in 1948, and has been fulfilling its social responsibility and role through legal education by cultivating talented individuals who lead the Korean legal profession and the political, governmental, and business sectors.
Established in 2009 when Korea's legal education system was reorganized into the so-called law school system, Sungkyunkwan University Graduate School of Law is is renowned for its top-notch faculty with both theory and practical experience, well-organized curriculum, academic and employment support through the Career Development Center, the highest level of scholarship, and efficient administration. The number of graduates who enter the public service, such as courts and prosecutors, has been overwhelming other law schools, and we also train lawyers who play prominent roles in the private sector, such as law firms and domestic or foreign companies.
In the future, we will use the progress we have made as a stepping stone to conduct research that meets the changing needs of the new era with the development of AI technology and focus more on nurturing human resources. We will strengthen the research capabilities of professors by integrating research and lectures, and collaborating with the Department of Forensic Science and Investigation within the Graduate School of Law and the science and technology fields of Sungkyunkwan University, produce creative and innovative lawyers and foster the next generation of academics. We look forward to your continued interest and support.
Thank you.
