Schools/Departments

The College of Sport Science was established in 1969 as the Department of Physical Education and developed independently to address academic interests in sports, movement, and health related issues. In 1991, the program changed its name to the College of Sport Science to accommodate rapidly changing research and educational needs in the area.

The College of Sport Science has the advantage of nationally recognized faculty and well-equipped research laboratories with tutorial assistance for faculty and students. Also, we provide excellent research opportunities for graduate and undergraduate students and chances to work with intercollegiate athletic teams, as well as community high school athletes. Furthermore, we have an excellent record of career placement for students upon graduation.

Our dynamic programs provide the students with a scientific perspective of sports, movement, exercise, and health. Graduates from our school have gone on to serve as sports leaders, physical education teachers, and leading sports scientists. The College of Sports Science provides programs at bachelor, master, Ph.D and combined master/ Ph.D level.
