● "The Global Leader, SKKU", VISION 2030 Declared
With the vision of the next 10 years to be newly implemented by Sungkyunkwan University, "Global leader who creates future social values through creative challenges and innovations! The Global Leader, SKKU" was presented and VISION 2030 was declared. Through this, it also announced plans to leap to the top 20 in the world by 2030.
As four major goals to achieve the vision, we selected innovation in ▲ university education, ▲ research-oriented leading university, ▲ win-win partnership, and ▲ university brand advancement, and plan to achieve each goal using ▲ global learning platform, ▲ research scale-Up platform, ▲ global brand platform.

Sungkyunkwan University has planned "Global Class," a new class model that provides high-quality education to students by combining world-class scholarship classes with university classes. Global classes are a model in which students pre-learn famous overseas scholarship lectures online and pursue developmental learning through lectures and discussions in offline classes. As a first step, Jared Diamond, a chair professor at UCLA and Sungkyunkwan University, the author of Chong Gyun-soe, gave lectures under the themes "Be Prepared!" and "What can we learn from the COVID19 crisis?" in a global class called "The Age of Cataclysm." This class was developed jointly with Professor Koo Jung-woo of the Department of Sociology.

Sungkyunkwan University introduced the first challenging semester in Korea last year to provide students with various opportunities during summer vacation, and many students participated this year by preparing innovative convergence classes in various fields such as AI, the 4th Industrial Revolution, data analysis, machine learning, language, and career. Furthermore, in connection with Korea's leading companies and local communities, students not only gained field experience, but also actively promoted internships and international exchange programs that recognize and solve problems in the field.

Sungkyunkwan University topped the list with a total of six projects selected as new tasks in the 2021 Academic Support Project in the Humanities and Social Areas promoted by the Ministry of Education and the Korea Research Foundation. Academic support projects in the field of humanities and social sciences consist of four projects: humanities and social studies research research support, humanities Korea Plus 2 types, social science research support, and excellent scholars. Based on this project, Sungkyunkwan University is taking the lead in promoting and revitalizing research in the field of humanities and society and fostering excellent researchers.

Professor Kim Dae-sik, Park Geun-chil, Ahn Myung-joo, Park Nam-gyu of the Department of Chemical Engineering/Polymer Engineering, and Lee Young-hee of the Nanostructure Physics Research Group were selected as the world's most influential researchers this year by Clarivate. Clarivate has released a list of "2021 World's Most Influential Researchers (HCR)" with the world's top 1% citation over the past decade, and Sungkyunkwan University has the largest number of private universities, including five among 47 Korean scientists.

Sungkyunkwan University ranked first in Korea for the second consecutive year, with a total of five departments selected in the world's top 50 departments announced by the UK's global university evaluation agency QS. A total of 12 departments in modern language, Shinbang, accounting, management, economy, art, life, physics, chemistry, medicine, machinery, and electrical and electronics were selected as the top 100 academic fields, and they were evaluated to maintain continuous competitiveness based on their excellent research skills.

Sungkyunkwan University's medical department remained second in Korea, ranking 46th in the 2022 THE World Medical School rankings released by THE, a British university evaluation agency. The medical department aims to contribute to human happiness by training progressive medical personnel who will lead the future science based on human-prediction and solidifying their position as the world's top medicine department by showing excellent performance in all five indicators.

Sungkyunkwan University's SKK GSB ranked 35th in the world in the 2021 World Weekly MBA Evaluation released by the Financial Times, ranking first in Korea for the 10th consecutive year and the world's top 50 MBA for the 5th consecutive year. FT weekly MBA evaluation is an indicator of the status and level of business schools, and SKK GSB received high praise in career development and internationalization, including △ 5th in career development services △ 13th in promotion △ 16th in investment value △ 17th in foreign professors △ 16th in foreign advisors. SKK GSB is transforming into a future-oriented one in line with the needs of companies and students, such as establishing AI MBA and MSBA courses.

Sungkyunkwan University has partnered with Coursera, a global MOOC platform, to provide quality educational content to the world. Coursera is the world's largest MOOC platform with 4,300 courses and 77 million learners. Starting with Professor Lee Geum-hee's "The Korean Alphabet: An Introduction to Hangeul," Sungkyunkwan University has opened eight courses in various fields such as Korean language education, Korean philosophy, big data, energy, and software. In the future, it plans to lead the new educational environment in the post-COVID-19 era by discovering and producing high-quality content.
● National Customer Satisfaction (NCSI) achieved first place in the private university category for 15 consecutive years.
Sungkyunkwan University has topped the National Customer Satisfaction (NCSI) private university category for 15 consecutive years. Sungkyunkwan University ranked first for 15 consecutive years with a total of 4,070 students from 15 major private universities nationwide, recording 84 points, up 5 points from the same period last year, and 83 points, up 10 points from customer loyalty. This is the result of a lot of efforts to foster global talent through customized management that meets the rapidly changing educational trends, such as introducing a challenging semester system, opening an S-On professor-student counseling platform, promoting student success gateway, and holding vocal cord training courses.
