About us
1. Establishment of Research Environment: Create a research environment for the faculty of the Software Convergence College to secure research funding in software (hereinafter referred to as SW) and artificial intelligence (hereinafter referred to as AI). This will support faculty and students in discovering creative ideas and conducting research activities smoothly. Furthermore, based on the operation of the software-centered university project, we will share and support the basic infrastructure to facilitate smooth collaboration between undergraduate and graduate programs, as well as industry project research collaborations.
2. Enhancement of Global Competence: Strengthen international research capabilities and cultivate global talent through exchanges with overseas universities and research institutes, collaborative research with foreign companies, cooperation with global engineers, and activities such as virtual lectures.
3. Strengthening Industry Project Collaboration: Create tangible research outcomes through collaboration with companies and provide students with practical experience to enhance their skills. To achieve this, we will operate an advisory committee and promote joint research and projects with companies.
4. Strengthening Internship Programs: Support students’ field experience by operating internship programs and establishing pre-guidance and evaluation systems to enhance the quality of internships. This will improve students' practical skills and increase their employability.
5. Discovery of Creative Ideas: Encourage students to discover creative ideas and form teams to undertake projects based on those ideas, establishing a systematic process that can lead to entrepreneurship. This will enhance students’ creativity and problem-solving skills.
6. Startup Support: Establish a systematic process that leads from research outcomes to entrepreneurship, enabling students to challenge themselves in starting their own businesses. This will support innovative ideas transitioning into actual businesses.
7. Hosting the S-TOP Event: Annually host the ‘S-TOP (Sungkyun Tech-Open Party)’ to showcase students’ research and development outcomes, share the results of industry project collaboration with the public, and organize a comprehensive event that includes technology exchanges with companies and a Job Fair.
