1. Program Overview
This program provides students from the College of Software Convergence with opportunities to enhance their global IT industry knowledge and capabilities through self-directed visits to international IT companies and universities as a team.
2. Program Details
- 1. Eligibility:
- - Current students of the Department of Software or the Global Convergence Division (Artificial Intelligence, Data Science) for the Fall 2024 semester.
- - Double majors, students on leave of absence, and graduates are not eligible.
- - Only team applications are allowed (minimum of 2 and maximum of 5 members); individual applications are not accepted.
- - All team members must have an overall GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- - First-year students of the Global Convergence Division may apply regardless of major.
- - Teams can consist of a mix of students from the Department of Software and the Global Convergence Division.
- - Students who have previously participated in the Software Department’s U.S. training or Global Challenge Program are not eligible.
- Program Schedule:
- December 20 (Friday) - December 29 (Sunday), 2024
(Program participation duration is between 7 to 10 days; schedules vary by team) - Program Location:
- Only Asia is supported (No programs in the Americas or Europe).
- Preferred destinations: Multiple cities are allowed.
- Visiting Organizations and Locations
- - Applicants are encouraged to create detailed plans for visits (pre-arrangements are recommended but not mandatory).
- - Considering the holiday season, various activities besides mentor interviews are encouraged.
- - Repeated visits to previously visited places in the Global Challenge Pool are not allowed more than twice (duplicate company and region visits are allowed, but mentor overlap is limited to twice).

- Number of Selected Participants: Up to 30 students
- The number of selected participants may be lower if criteria are not met.
- Support Amount (including airfare and visa fees):
- Asia Region: 2,300,000 KRW per person

October 29 (Tuesday) – November 12 (Tuesday), 23:59 / Strict deadline - Required Documents:
- ★ Plan, professor recommendation letter, certificate of enrollment, consent form for personal data—all documents must be combined into one PDF file for submission.
① Global Challenge Plan (free format but must include the following):- - Purpose of participating in the Global Challenge Program
- - Team name, member list (department, student ID, name, contact information), program schedule, and plan
- - Exclude simple tourism schedules
- - Create plans and schedules relevant to the purpose of the program
- - Indicate team representative
- - Detailed contact points or activity ideas for planned visits to companies or universities
- - Budget usage plan
- - Software Convergence College program and on-campus activities (written by each team member)
- - Expected outcomes and plans post-participation
- - Do not copy plans submitted by past participants of the Global Challenge Program.
- ② Professor Recommendation Letter (only from Software Convergence College faculty / use Form 1)
- 1 per team
- The letter must be received directly from the recommending professor, who will later be contacted for verification.

- Selection Criteria (Total 100 Points):
- (Plan 40, GPA 20, Contribution to Software Convergence College 20, Professor Recommendation 10, Selection Committee 10)
3. Future Schedule (Tentative)
- - Document Review: Mid-November
- - Final Announcement: Before the end of November (on the Software Convergence College / Department of Software homepage)
- - Final selected teams must participate in the presentation of their plans at the end-of-term Global Challenge Program event.
- - During the program, teams must create a Vlog to be uploaded to the Software-Centered University YouTube channel.

4. Important Notes for Overseas Program Participation
- Check whether visits to the relevant countries during the planned period are possible and any requirements.
5. Q&A
- Is the 10-day maximum based on the date of entry to Korea or departure from the destination country?
-> It is based on the date of entry to Korea. (Exit and entry proof documents must be submitted later.) - Is personal extension of stay allowed?
-> No personal extensions are allowed. The entire team must return to Korea on the specified date. - Should the budget usage plan be created individually or as a group?
-> It can be created individually to match the support amount or collectively as a team budget. - How do I contact professors?

- Can I receive duplicate support from other global programs offered by the College?
-> Not allowed.
