심수옥 교수님의 주최로 글로벌경영학과 대상으로 창업아이디어 공모전을 실시하게 되었습니다.
STARTUP CEO Challenge
Pitch your Startup Ideas to Industry Experts in Silicon Valley.
*About the Competition
You can experience how startup ideas are presented to venture capitals for investment opportunities in Silicon Valley. The program consists of two webinars and a presentation. We will invite 3-6 selected teams to pitch their creative ideas to experts from Silicon Valley. The webinars are open to all GBA students regardless of applying PT competition.
*Eligibility
All GBA students as a TEAM (2 - 4 people)
*Rewards
PT competition applicants will be approved as participating in alternative-global program for graduation requirements.
The prizes are as follows.
1. 1st Place of the challenge:
1,000,000 KRW Startup Fund & 500,000 KRW worth gift per person
2. 2nd Place of the challenge:
1,000,000 KRW Startup Fund & 300,000 KRW worth gift per person
3. 3rd Place of the challenge:
100,000 KRW worth gift per person
※ 1st and 2nd winners must submit a report on their start-up activities later

Webinar 1 David Koretz
David Koretz is a serial entrepreneur who founded four companies by the age of 19. He is currently President & CEO of Blue Tie, and President of Mykonos Software. Mr. Koretz was the recipient of Teen People Magazine’s “20 Teens Who will Change the world”, the “40 under 40 Award, and the Digital Rochester “Rising Star Award.”
Webinar 2 Hyungjin Park
Hyungjin Park founded three companies, Eyewear Space ALO, Urban Delight, and Breezm since 2006. Prior to starting up his own company, he had worked for Procter & Gamble and Walt Disney Parks & Resorts. Mr. Park recently won the first prize at D. Day held by D.Camp, which is the only forum in Korea to present startup ideas to industry experts and investors.
*The Pitch Session
- Date & Time : December 11, 2020 at 9 am
- Location : International Hall 90110 (The venue is subject to change depending on the situation.)
- Prize :
1. 1st Place of the challenge: 1,000,000 KRW Startup Fund & 500,000 KRW worth gift per person
2. 2nd Place of the challenge: 1,000,000 KRW Startup Fund & 300,000 KRW worth gift per person
3. 3rd Place of the challenge: 100,000 KRW worth gift per person

- Proposal format
Any type of presentation format and styles are allowed. Total maximum 10 pages if you use a powerpoint and 10 minutes per team will be allocated.
- The Business Proposal to Pitch should include the followings:
1. Executive Summary – summary of what your solution is.
2. Consumer Insight and Pain point
3. The concept board with a demo of prototype and summarizing the benefits
4. Why it makes business sense – opportunity size, target customers, customer/market size
5. Team structure and timeline

It will be announced on December 4, 2020 which startup experts will attend.
