1. Topic: "Why My Research is Important" - Research Outcome or Research Plan Introduction Speech Contest
※ Winners may be required to attend the offline award ceremony and give a speech. The winning entries will be posted on the official YouTube account of SKKU. Participants will be deemed to have agreed to this.
2. Eligibility: Graduate students enrolled for the second semester of the 2024 academic year and postdoctoral researchers affiliated with the BK21 Education Research Group.
※ Research Semester Registrants(1st to 4th semester) and graduate students affiliated with the BK Education Research Group are also eligible to participate.
※ Students on leave of absence and winners of the 1st contest of the 2024, 1st and 2nd contests of the 2023 academic year are not eligible.
※ Postdoctoral researchers must have a retirement date after March 2025 to be eligible.
3. Submission Deadline: ~Dec 20th, 2024 (Friday)
4. Evaluation Method and Prizes
a. Evaluation Method: Finalists will be judged by dividing them into four panels.
※ Panels: Humanities/Arts, Social Sciences, Engineering, Natural Sciences/Medicine/Pharmacy
b. Prizes
- Graduate Student Category - Grand Prize: 2,000,000 KRW, Excellence Award: 1,500,000 KRW, Encouragement Award: 1,000,000 KRW
- Postdoctoral Researcher Category - Grand Prize: 3,000,000 KRW, Excellence Award: 2,000,000 KRW, Encouragement Award: 1,000,000 KRW
※ The number of selections will be determined depending on the number of applications and the quality of the works.
5. Submissions
a. Submission Files: Contest application form(attached file), presentation video (approximately 10 minutes), summary PPT or PDF (within 5 pages)
b. Additional Notes
- Videos and PPT/PDF must be produced in Korean or English.
- Videos should be in avi or mp4 format (under 500MB).
- As this is a speech contest, the contestant must appear in the video.
- Team participation is not allowed.
