Scholarship in the Graduate School
Shimsan Scholarship
- Recommended by the Department for an outstanding graduate student who has a strong research motive
- Humanities, arts, and sports-related departments have to spend over thirty percent of the allocated funding as a responsive fund; this is over seventy percent for science and engineering-related departments
- Part of the tuition fee
Exchange Student Scholarship
- Provided to students from overseas universities that made academic agreements with Sungkyunkwan University
- Full amount of the tuition fee
Sungkyun Welfare Scholarship
- Provided to direct offspring of the faculty or administration officers of Sungkyunkwan University who are enrolling at the university after his/her parent retired due to age, death, or other equivalent events
- Half the tuition fee
Merit-Based Scholarship
- Students who contributed to the development of Sungkyunkwan University and earned over 3.0 (GPA) in the previous semester
- Part of the tuition fee
Research Promotion Scholarship
- Decided by the student affairs office to promote graduate students’ research motives, in consultation with the Graduate School Student Council
- Part of the tuition fee
Sungkyun Family
- Provided to siblings who are enrolling at the university in the same semester
- Thirty five percent of the tuition fee
Scholarship for Combined Track of the Master’s and Doctoral Course
- Provided to outstanding students who apply to the graduate school based on excellent GPAs
- Master’s Course Type A: tuition fee for one semester of the undergraduate course (100%) & admission fee for the master’s course (100%) & tuition fee for four semesters of the master’s course (50%)
- Master’s Course Type B (for students who are in the last semester of the undergraduate course or have already completed the course): admission fee for the master’s course (100%) & tuition fee for four semesters (50%)
- Doctoral Course Type A: tuition fee for one semester (50%) & admission fee for the doctoral course (100%) & tuition fee for four semesters (50%)
- Doctoral Course Type B (for graduate students who are in the last semester of the master’s course or have already completed the course): admission fee for the doctoral course (100%) & tuition fee for four semesters (50%)

- Scholarship given to outstanding graduate students
- Master’s Course: ₩ 600 thousand/month
- Doctoral Course: ₩ 1000 thousand/month
