※ If academic status changes due to withdrawal, leave of absence, or other reasons, D-2 visa will be expired, and the student must leave Korea within 30 days from the date of the change.
Change of D-2 (Overseas study) VISA
- Students enrolled in an undergraduate course after finishing a language course in Korea(D-4)
- Students enrolled in a master’s degree course after graduating college in Korea
- Students enrolled in a doctorate degree program after obtaining a master’s degree in Korea

Maximum Period of Stay in Korea
- Undergraduate: 6 years (7 years for 5-year degree programs)
- Master: 5 years (6 years for 3-year degree programs)
- Doctoral: 8 years (7 years for 2-year degree programs)
