He previously served as a Postdoctoral Scholar at Stanford University’s Center for International Security and Cooperation and holds a Ph.D. in Political Science from Yale University, an M.P.P. from the University of Chicago, and a B.A. from Sungkyunkwan University. His work focuses on military recruitment and effectiveness, civil–military relations, public attitudes toward nuclear issues, China’s role in global politics, and conflict-related sexual violence. Recent developments in Japanese politics 강사 소개: Naomi Chi is a Professor and Vice-Dean at the Graduate School of Public Policy (HOPS), Hokkaido University. Her area of specialization is East Asian politics, with an emphasis on migration, demographic changes, multiculturalism, gender, ethnic and sexual minorities, as well as human security in East Asia. Her latest publications include, “Museum as ‘Lieu de Memoire’: Representation of Gender in Museum Exhibitions in East Asia,”Annals on Public Policy (Vol. 18, April 2024); “Chapter 11: Politics of (Mis) Trust in Northeast Asia: Social Inclusion, Empathy and Reconciliation,” in Akihiro Iwashita, Yong-Chool Ha, and Edward Boyle (eds) Geopolitics of Northeast Asia (Routledge, 2022). 2025-10-17강사: Yuko Kasuya (Keio University) 강의 주제: Political Polarization and Anti-Democratic Attitudes in Asia 강사 소개: Yuko Kasuya is Professor of Political Science in the Faculty of Law at Keio University (Tokyo). Her research focuses on regime transitions, political institutions, and the politics of East and Southeast Asia, with particular emphasis on the Philippines. She holds a Ph.D. in International Affairs from the University of California, San Diego, an M.A. in Development Studies from the Institute of Social Studies (Netherlands), and a B.A. in Law from Keio University. Her edited volume, Decolonization and Regime Change in Asia: Historical Origins of Democracy and Dictatorship, is forthcoming from Springer (2026). Her work has appeared in Asian Review, Electoral Studies, Journal of East Asian Studies, Legislative Studies Quarterly, and Party Politics. Parties, Voters, and Elections after the Great Recession (2020, Oxford).
