===============================================================================제 목 : Carbon Dioxide-Catalyzed Processes연 사 : 이지웅 교수(University of Copenhagen)일 시 : 2023년 10월 5일(목) 오후 4시 30분장 소 : 화학관 2층 330226호실================================================================================ Carbon Dioxide-Catalyzed Processes Ji-Woong Lee Department of ChemistryUniversity of CopenhagenUniversitetsparken 5, 2100, Copenhagen Ø, Denmark Abstract Currently, more than 40 gigatonnes of CO2 are released annually into the atmosphere as a result of fossil fuel combustion, causing ocean acidification and climate unpredictability. Anthropogenic CO2 emission is seemingly hard to diminish in the near future and, therefore, CO2-capture and sequestration or CO2-functionalization can be viable solutions to address this issue. To use CO2 as a chemical feedstock, namely as a C1 building block, it is essential to equip the process with a nucleophilic catalyst or a highly active reagent, as exemplified by Grignard carboxylation reactions and some recent progress in metal-catalyzed reactions. In this lecture, I will display how we can utilize CO2 not only as a chemical feedstock but also as a molecular catalyst for a stereoselective cyanation reaction, a cyanohydrin formation reaction, transesterficiation and transamidation reaction. These newly developed organic synthesis methodologies led to a development new methods including desalination and plastic degradation. The obtained knowledge will be beneficial in developing new and energy efficient CO2 capture processes, which are of great importance for human race.* 졸업논문 교과목 수강자 세미나 필수 참석 안내석사, 석박통합, 박사과정이 수강하는 <졸업논문연구학점 1~6>수강자는 학과에서 개최하는 목요일 정규세미나에 반드시 참석해야함.관련공지(skku.edu)https://skb.skku.edu/chem/News/notice.do?mode=view&articleNo=146936&article.offset=10&articleLimit=10)

Perovskite quantum dots (QDs) or more broadly, nanocrystals (NCs), show high photoluminescence (PL) quantum yields, spectrally tunable bandgap, flexible compositional control, and crystalline strain benefits. Metal halide perovskite nanocrystals are readily synthesized with exceptional optoelectronic quality opening a route for next generation light emitters, as well as exploring LHP physics at the nanoscale. CsPbX3 (X=Cl-, Br-, I-, or mixed halide) QDs exhibit PL tunable from ultraviolet to near-infrared wavelengths by adjusting the halide composition and/or QD sizeSince the first report in 2016, CsPbI3 QDs also became a point of interest in PV research. Currently CsPbI3 holds the record efficiency for QD solar cells (16.6%) proving better than any previous QD material composition. This talk will highlight the unique potential of perovskite QD (PQD) solar cells, from synthesis to devices. We will discuss current state of the art and lay out many open opportunities in perovskite QD solar cells, and the related present and future pursuits in QD preparation and device architecture.
많은 참여 부탁드립니다.===============================================================================제 목 : Molecular design strategies to enhance charge mobility, stability, and stretchability in conjugated polymers for stretchable electronics연 사 : 손성윤 교수(광운대학교 화학과)일 시 : 2023년 8월 31일(목) 오후 4시 30분장 소 : 화학관 2층 330226호실================================================================================ Molecular design strategies to enhance charge mobility, stability, and stretchability in conjugated polymers for stretchable electronics 최근 전자소자의 트렌드는 딱딱한 평면 패널 기반의 하드 일렉트로닉스 (hard electronics)에서 폴더블, 롤러블 소자와 같은 소프트 일렉트로닉스 (soft electronics)로 변하고 있다. 관련공지(skku.edu)https://skb.skku.edu/chem/News/notice.do?mode=view&articleNo=146936&article.offset=10&articleLimit=10)

This QM uses the superposition of two levels in a single hydrogen molecule as the sensor to probe the electric fields of a sample’s surface. In a pilot study (Science 376, 401, 2022; Phys. Rev. Lett. 130, 096201, 2023) the QM demonstrates a 300-fold finer energy resolution and 0.1 angstrom spatial sensitivity of the sample’s near-field electrostatics, compared to microscopes not based on this quantum principle. Furthermore, the wave-particle duality, nonlinear Stark effects, superposition of multiple quantum states, and entanglement among adjacent two levels illustrate the sensitivity of the QM to a set of basic phenomena underlying quantum mechanics. This qubit-based QM advances precision measurement with space-time resolution by irradiating the STM junction with femtosecond THz radiation and recording in the time domain coherent oscillations of the light-induced rectified tunneling current. The common occurrence of systems with two levels within a double-well potential suggests a broad application of the QM in probing the heterogeneous distribution of static and dynamic properties of electrons in functional materials.
