Educational Goals and Model Student

Educational goals

  • Forming a global research cohort based on rigorous training in focus areas (bioinformation, biomarkers, biomaterials and biochips)
  • Fostering a creative global leader by introducing professional education and research methods that investigate the fundamental mechnanisms behind biological phenomena and diseases
  • Establishing a foundation for new disciplines and convergence studies
  • Educating students about creative research designs and methods

Curriculum Organization

  • Biometric information, biomarkers, and biomaterials are set as specific focus tracks for academic and career guidance, but are not classified within the major
  • Completion of the credits are based on the standard completion criteria of general graduate schools (master's degree: 12 credits or more for the major, 12 credits or less for the optional = 24 credits in total / master's-phD degree: 30 credits or more for the major, 21 credits or less for the optional = 51 or more credits in total)
