<Say Young Kim>
Say Young Kim is Associate Professor of English Language and Literature at Hanyang University. He
obtained Ph.D. from the University of Maryland at College Park and served as a postdoctoral fellow at
Nanyang Technological University and National University of Singapore before he joined Hanyang
University. His research interest centers in the cognitive science of reading and language, and the goal
of his research is to understand the neurocognitive mechanisms involved in learning and processing
both first and second languages. He uses multiple research methods including behavioral and brain
mapping techniques (fMRI and ERPs).
