PHR5213 Advanced Chemical Biology 3 6 Major Master/Doctor Pharmacy - No
Chemical biology is a scientific discipline interfacing the fields of chemistry and biology. Chemical biology involves the application of various chemical tools, and often small molecules produced through synthetic chemistry or natural products, to study and manipulate biological systems. In contrast to biochemistry, which involves the study of the chemistry of biomolecules and regulation of biochemical pathways within and between cells, chemical biology deals with chemistry applied to biology. This class will focus to learn the target identification methods of biologically active molecules, practical aspects of peptides, proteins and antibodies.
