- The 22th graduated people visited our(their home) college at Nov, 5(monday), 2018. They heard Dean‘s briefing about the state of development of the school of pharmacy and SKKU. then they had a tour program seeing around the lecture room, PC lab and the museum of historical materials. They thinking of the past, expressed amazement and the feeling of relief on the development phase of the school of pharmacy and SKKU. The 11 million won collected by the classmates was transferred to the Research Scholarship Fund.

- The 42nd Graduated people had the Home coming day, celebrating 20th anniversary of graduation on 4th November at the school of pharmacy building, SKKU. Seok-Jung Jang, the president of the 42nd graduated people’s alumni association and abount 30 alumni association members and Kyu hyuck Chung, dean of school of pharmacy and Woong-cheol Chun, the president of the school of pharmacy alumni association participated. They donated KW 24 million as the school of pharmacy development fund.

- Honorary Chairman Soo-ji Kim and Han-gu Lee of Daehwa Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. delivered the research scholarship fund
- On September 4 (Tue), 2018, honorary chairman Soo-ji Kim (65) donated more than 320 million won, and on September 27 (Thu), Han-gu Lee, honorary chairman (65) donated more than 140 million won to SKKU school of Pharmacy Research Scholarship Fund. Kim's donation amounted to over 1 billion won, and Lee's accumulated donation amounted to 300 million won. This is the first time that two people from the same school number, the same company, or the same title have made a donation in the same month. Therefore, the meaning of the love of alma mater feels much larger.

- Professor Ki-Hyun Kim decorates the cover paper for Chemistry & Biodiversity
- A new useful substance that inhibits the inflammatory response has been discovered from Calvatia gigantea known as rare mushrooms. The research demonstrated the effects and inhibitory action of 'macrophage' from polyphenols isolated from Calvatia gigantea. The researchers found that a total of eight natural substances isolated from Calvatia gigantea inhibited the production of inflammation-causing nitric oxide (NO). The research results were published in the cover paper of the September issue of Chemistry & Biodiversity.

- Professor Jung-mi Lee won the Pharmacy Research Thesis Award at the 2018 Fall International Conference held from October 17 (Wed) to 19 (Fri). The Pharmacy Research Thesis Award is given to the responsible author of the paper with the highest citation among the articles published in the Archives of Pharmacal Research, an English journal published by the Pharmaceutical Society of Korea. - Professor In-soo Kim and Hyung-sik Kim's research team decorates the cover of the AJOC
- Professor In-soo Kim and Hyung-sik Kim's research team(1st author: Segun Kim, Amit Kundu, co-author: Sung-In Yoo, Park Jung-hyun) have succeeded in decorating the cover of the Asian Journal of Organic Chemistry (AJOC), an international journal of chemistry, published in October. Prof. Kim In-soo said, “This result is a new synthesis method that is different from the traditional acridine synthesis method. It is a new technology that can maximize the efficiency in the production of acridine with a variety of pharmacological activity, and is a new method that can significantly improve the synthesis process of medicines and natural products including acridine mother core. In particular, as part of the new anticancer drug development research, which is being pursued by the Basic Research Laboratory (BRL), we are continuously conducting research on the selection of new drug candidates and optimization of pharmacological activity.”
