- Prof. Ji Hoon Jung's research team presents papers at ACS Nano
- Painless ultrafine needle anticancer vaccine that can stick to the skin - Band-aid vaccine to replace needle - Professor Ji-hoon Jung's research team (School of Pharmacy) and Prof. Yong-taek Lim's research team (SKKU Advanced Institute of Nano Technology) have developed an anticancer vaccine using soluble ultra-fine needle injection on the skin. The researchers used the property that when an amphiphilic polymer is dissolved in water, it forms nanoparticles through self-assembly. By using very small sized self-assembled nanoparticles delivered to lymph nodes after ultra fine needles, it is possible to improve the effectiveness of anti-cancer vaccines by delivering immunosuppressive agents that are insoluble in water with cancer vaccine antigens to lymph nodes. At the same time, it was confirmed that the inflammatory response in the body, which is a problem of the conventional injectable immunostimulants, can be greatly reduced.

- Prof. Insu Kim's research team presents papers to Angewandte Chemie
- - New milestones in drug synthesis process through discovery of novel reactivity of Wittig reagent - Prof. Insu Kim's research team (first author, Dr. Sang-il Han) presented the results of the research to suggest new milestones in the drug synthesis process by discovering new reactivity of Wittig reagent. 'Selective alkylation of pyridine and quinoline' developed by the team is a direct alkylation of carbon-hydrogen bonds in pyridine and quinoline that is completely different from traditional double bond formation with Wittig reagent (phosphonium salt). It is evaluated as a result of finding new reactivity. The paper was published in the September issue of Angewandte Chemie (IF = 12.102).
