Advisory Professor/Preliminary Examination/Main Examination Application Guide
1. Application period: 2021. 10. 18. (Mon) ∼ 10. 25 (Mon)
2. How to apply: Electronic application through GLS
A. Application for thesis advisor: refer to attached manual 1 (Korean and English)
- The School of Pharmacy and Clinical Social Pharmacy is Type A, and the School of Pharmaceutical Industry is Type B. Please refer to the manual.
B. Application for thesis preliminary examination: Refer to Attached Manual 2 (Korean and English)
C. Application for thesis review: Refer to Attached Manual 3 (Korean and English)
3. Eligibility to apply
A. Application for thesis advisor
- There are no special requirements, but apply in the first week of freshman school
B. preliminary examination
- Students must complete 15 credits for master’s degree, 27 credits for doctoral degree, and 39 credits for combined master’s and doctoral courses by the semester before the application for the preliminary examination (semester 2021-1), and the GPA must be 3.0 or higher Lim)
※Please note that preliminary examination and main examination cannot be conducted in the same semester.
C. Main examination
① Acquired all the credits for each degree program (master: 24 credits, doctoral: 36 credits, combined master’s and doctoral: 51 credits) and prerequisite credits, and the GPA of grades must be 3.0 or higher
※However, in the case of a master's program, those who have registered for more than 4 semesters and have less than 3 credits required to complete the course, including prerequisite credits, may be eligible to submit a thesis request if approved by the dean of the department.
② Pass the thesis submission qualification test
※However, applicants who take the thesis submission qualification test this semester must submit the “Thesis Submission Qualification Test Applicant Pledge” (Appendix 11. Form) to proceed with the thesis review on the premise of passing the thesis.
③ Pass the thesis preliminary examination
④ Full payment of research registration fee
⑤ Submission of academic papers
- Submit to the administration office along with the result report by 17:00 on December 17, 2021 (Friday) (to be announced later)
4. Documents to be submitted
Upload and submit at the time of GLS electronic application
-You can use the attached form of the notice or download it from the GLS application screen
- Scan the completed form and upload it (if unavoidable, upload a photographed copy as well)

- No submission is required for Department of Pharmaceutical Industry, which is type B.
B. Preliminary examination
① Thesis writing plan (Attachment 1 form)
② Thesis Preliminary Examiner (Form 3 attached)
③ Affidavit of Research Ethics Compliance (Attachment 5 Form)
C. Main Examination (Only submit documents from 1 to 3 below when applying for GLS)
① Thesis Examiner (Form 4 attached)
② Affidavit of Research Ethics Compliance (Appendix 5)
③ Safety training completion certificate (Attachment 8 form)
④ The results of the papers in the journal should be submitted to the administration office together with the result report by 17:00 on December 17, 2021 (Friday) (to be announced later)
5. Payment of examination fee
- After receiving the GLS application, a receipt must be issued and the examination fee written on the receipt must be paid.
6. Cancellation of application
- Students who wish to cancel the examination after the application has been approved must fill out the “Application for Cancellation of Thesis Examination Application” (Form 7) and submit it to the administration office. must be submitted
