The first semester of 2023 <Job Hak-Da-Sik(Career Mentoring)> was held on Monday, May 1. This is being done to strengthen the ‘Sungkyunkwan University Business Department brand’ by expanding the network of seniors and juniors to the off-campus, and to expect to increase department loyalty and expand the mentoring human network pool in the future. A total of 80 business administration students attended, and the institutions of the graduating seniors in attendance included Kakao, Samsung Seoul Hospital, Riot Games Korea, and Korea Credit Bureau.
Nam Yeon-ju (Business 22), who attended the day, said, "After becoming a sophomore and becoming interested in my career, I participated in a career concert hosted by the College of Business Student Council. I had a great time meeting and talking with people working in professions I wasn't familiar with. I was able to plan for my future by thinking about whether an organization with bureaucratic characteristics or an organization that prioritizes autonomy would suit me".
Mentor Lim Chae-young, who participated in the career concert, said, “I also remember that the business administration program helped me a lot when finding a job. Although it is small, I hope my experiences and thoughts will be of some help in planning the future." Mentor Son Young-seok said, “It was a very rewarding day for me personally as I had the opportunity to provide a little help to my juniors as a senior in the same department.”
Um Sang-hyun, Policy Director of BE:ONE, Business School Student Council, who prepared the event, said, “It was a time when I was able to have meaningful conversations about career paths with business school students and seniors. I hope it will be a motivating event for all the students who attend." he said.
