Thirteen domestic MBAs submitted freshmanrecruitment and operation for the second half year to the Ministry ofEducation, Science and Technology. As a result, 1437 people applied for the total846 positions, showing average competition rate of 1:1.7. It was higher thanthe rate of last year (1:1.67). Average competition rates for day and nightare day (8 schools) for 1:1.9, night (9 schools) for 1:1.6. For the case ofSKKU, 150 people applied for 80 spots, recording 1:1.9. Especially for theclass of 2010, the recruitment for EMBA showed relatively high competition rateof at least 1:4 (last semester 75 positions). Among them, SKKU holds 31 of foreignstudents, Korea Univrsity 27, Seoul National University 10, Chonnam University9, Sookmyung Womans University 4, Inha University 3, Dongguk and Ewha WomansUniversity one for each. SKKU has the highest rate for having foreign students.Nationality varies from China for 20 students (23.3%), the USA (15), Canada(7), Australia (5), and Germany (4). For the number of foreign faculty, SKKU isranked No.3 for having 17 of them. Such ratio reflects that the awareness andapproval ratings of the school’s MBA are consistently rising, which is theresult of the efforts put into to be the global Top Business School. SKKU Business School has been inviting world’s greatest scholars and makingcontinuous contact for mutual exchange with overseas prominent universities aspart of the effort. |
