The purpose of this course is to understand the logic and theoretical structure of language communication based on public language, and to establish the basis of public language policy by expanding and applying it. In order to expand discussions on public language policy, it is necessary to approach the basic concepts, theories, and application processes of public language through relations with language policy. By understanding and grasping language-related knowledge, language policy, history and direction of discussion of communication theory, issues and core structures, develop deep language research skills and vision.

It is no exaggeration to say that keywords such as digital, computer, data, web, and artificial intelligence have already penetrated deep into our daily lives. In the midst of such rapid changes in communication media, we will look at various humanities research cases that actively utilize computer technology and web environments, and then summarize the context of digital technologies applicable to humanities research. The main purpose of this lecture is to develop a digital-based research methodology that can be used in Korean literature research through such a process. 〈Digital Korean Literature Research Methodology 1〉, which was opened earlier, focused on writing 'MediaWiki' electronic documents and designing 'Ontology', and focused on basic practice of constructing database and humanities data. On the other hand, this course goes one step further, compiling ‘Graph Database’ and focusing on ‘Network Analysis’ practice and ‘Digital Atlas’ production. In the process, students will also experience the experience of looking back on the value of traditional language and literature research through new communication media in a digital environment by directly compiling data in the field of Korean literature that they are interested in.

This seminar delves Korean literature from the perspective of citizenship and locality/regionality. It explores the relationship between Korean literature and citizenship, and examines the history and present of local literature. While examining the genealogy of Korean literature discourse combined with citizenship, it deals with the relationship between literature and space by examining the regional sources of Korean literature.
DKL5146 Modern Feminist Cultural Studies 3 6 Major Master/Doctor 1-4 Korean Yes
The purpose of this course is to understand and practice the historical trajectory by looking at the various achievements of feminist cultural studies. Through this class, students learn that feminism since the second half of the 20th century has grown into cultural critics and studies that criticize the male superiority system and logic inherent in everyday life experiences, art and literature works, popular culture texts and images and suggest alternative cultures. We will also understand that the process was parallel to the growth of feminist movement and theory. For this purpose, reading of relatively well-known books and articles on feminist culture studies at home and abroad, exploring the field of contemporary feminist cultural studies, and designing students' own research will be conducted.
DKL5147 Seminar on Hallyu and Global Pop Culture 3 6 Major Master/Doctor 1-4 - No
Hallyu, Korean pop culture, is in an high demand, with tv-series, films K-Pop across the globe, from the Euro-American cultures to Afro-asian cultures. This seminar series, the receptions of Hallyu culture in each region is analyzed in depth. Also, it focuses on the relationship between popular culture and Korean literature, and pays attention to the mediation phenomenon of literature into culture. In the case of international students, depending on their nationality, they can conduct a case study on the Hallyu phenomenon, and Korean students will be able to examine the translingual or trans-regional phenomena between source and translation.
