Prof. Michael Puett gave special lecture to Students in Confucian Studies and Eastern Philosophy. Prof. Michael Puett is professor of Chinese History and Anthropology, as well as the Chair of the Committee on the Study of Religion at Harvard University. He is well known for his book, "the Ambivalence of Creation: Debates Concerning Innovation and Artifice in Early China" and "To Become a God: Cosmology, Sacrifice, and Self-Divinization in Early China".
In the lecture, he emphasized that our identity is not fixed but could be changeble with external stimulus. He said "You can adopt new habits and literally change the way you take in the world, react to it, and interact with other people."
