SKKU’s Health Care Center held a metabolic syndrome counseling class for students and faculty members during the Fall semester.
The counseling class took place on Thu, Oct. 13th for both the Humanities and Social Sciences Campus and Natural Sciences Campus.
Metabolic Syndrome occurs when a person has symptoms of more than three of the following medical conditions: intra-abdominal fat accumulated obesity, high blood pressure, diabetes, and hyperlipemia.
The Health Care Center improved the health conditions of members through 1:1 counseling and regular measurements of blood pressure, blood sugar, neutral fat, cholesterol, and waist size.
