Thank you for your interest in our college.

College of Sport Science in Sungkyunkwan University (SKKU) has played a role in leading the academia of sport science in Republic of Korea, and has been recognized as an excellent institute based on the appraisals evaluated by reviewing agencies such as the National Research Foundation of Korea (NRF). The cutting edge role of our college in the academia of sport science is attributed to the excellent faculty members who have great expertise and experiences in research and education. Due to its excellency, the College of Sport Science is supported by programs such as Brain Korea (BK) 21 Plus project, and the Core Research Center Program, funded by the Ministry of Education.

The college has an undergraduate program, to which 320 students are enrolled, as well as a graduate program providing degrees at Masters and Ph.D. level. The coursework of undergraduate study consists of three major areas, which are (i) Health Fitness Promotion, (ii) Sport Management & Marketing, and (iii) Sport Education & Coaching. The coursework of graduate studies is composed of following areas – Sport Management, Sport Psychology, Sport Sociology, Sport Physiology; Biomechanics, and Sport Measurement and Analysis.

The objective of education provided by our college is to foster leaders, who can guide the academia of sport and sport-related industry that are under rapid development and growth in our society. We believe that our college can make contributions to the realization of our nation’s future agenda, “health and welfare”, through our education which enables students to build strong frameworks in knowledge, virtue, and physique, and eventually fosters students to be leaders in our society.
