- Professor Seo-Piljoon of the department of Biological Sciences, identified plant compound stress defense mechanisms
- Professor Seo-Piljoon of the department of Biological Sciences, identified plant compound stress defense mechanisms Plants that have the limitations of the fixative is thought to come to develop a proactive and an effective mechanism to respond to the complex environmental stress evolutionarily, and particular biological interaction between abiotic stress response pathway of the plant attract a lot of attention in academia. Professor Seo-Piljoon research team found the MIEL1 ubiquitination enzymes that comprehensively regulate various stress response pathway, the study identified the mechanism of action of this protein that was published recently in Nature Communications Mon, September 12th online edition . This paper has involved Lee-Honggil graduate student (first author) and Seo-Piljoon of Sungkyunkwan University (Professor of Biological Sciences, corresponding author) and its affiliated laboratories . The study was conducted by global research network projects of the National Research Foundation and Bio Green21 projects of the Rural Development Administration (Utilized agricultural biological genome Agency).

- Professor Kim-Beomjun – Lee-Donggi team, developed tech for scar removal
- "Hypertrophic scar" and "keloid scar" treatment resulting from surgery or trauma has been developed by Kim-Beomjun (Chung-Ang University Hospital Professor) Lee-Donggi (Sungkyunkwan University chemistry professor team). Recently they developed technologies of intractable hypertrophic scarring and keloid scar treatment. The thesis (Development of cell-penetrating asymmetric interfering RNA targeting connective tissue growth factor (CTGF)) was published in the journal 'Exploratory dermatology journals (Journal of Investigative Dermatology, JID)' which is prestigious in international dermatology areas. It was published in the current issue. Professor Kim, Lee and his team have developed RNAi technology, which injects chemically synthesized RNA (Ribo Nucleic Acid, Ribonucleic acid) cells within scarring associated genes He explained that it could be used as a fundamental treatment of keloid scars and intractable hypertrophic scars. So far there is no truly successful treatment that received Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approval. The study was conducted jointly by Olix, Sungkyunkwan University and Hugel supported by the Small and Medium Business Administration as global hidden champions challenges. http://www.viva100.com/main/view.php?key=20160725020017304
