The Korea Academy of Engineering selected 9 winners of the 4th Next-Generation Engineering Leader Award, which were recruited to students of engineering colleges nationwide and announced on Monday, December 16. The Next Generation Engineering Leader Award was established in 2016 to discover creative and challenging engineering students, establish new awards for engineering technology talents, and encourage them to become active engineers in solving social problems.
Master of Advanced Materials Science and Engineering, Ji-Hye (Student Professor Sang-Woo Kim), based on creativity, challenging spirit, and leadership, expanded the base of engineering technology and contributed to social change was awarded.
Jiwoo Kim announced world-class research in the field of 'Friction Warfare Generator', the next-generation future energy harvesting technology that is currently attracting global attention (published six best SCI-level papers including the top 0.2% journal). One technology transfer of 36 patents proved the feasibility of electric generator technology. In addition, the company presented five awards, including the AMSE Award for BK21 PLUS Convergence Materials Global Human Resources Development Project, and 23 papers of prominent international and domestic conferences such as MRS 2019 and ECS 2018.
